How do I setup Nexus? (Without Proctorio Add-on)
If you purchased Proctorio support, scroll down!
Before contacting support, please attempt the troubleshooting steps at the bottom of the page first.
Computer/Laptop Tutorial (Highly Recommended)
You can find the video tutorial for computer/laptop here
- Go to your browser's extensions page. Enable Developer Mode at the top right.
- Add the Tampermonkey browser extension.
- If using Chrome, go back to the extensions page, find Tampermonkey, and click Details. Scroll down, and enable Allow User Scripts.
- Download the Nexus script here, by pressing Install when prompted.
- Go to the the dashboard where all of your classes are shown, and the menu should ask you for your license key. Copy and paste the entire key, including Nexus-
iPhone/iPad Tutorial

- Install the Focus app from the App Store.
- Open Focus.
- Tap on the 3 lines at the bottom right.
- Tap on Script (</>).
- Tap on the 3 dots at the top right.
- Select Import from URL.
- Copy and paste this link: https://api-rs.nexusbot.net/nexus.user.js and press Save.
- Go to the the dashboard where all of your classes are shown, and the menu should ask you for your license key. Copy and paste the entire key, including Nexus-
If you purchased the Proctorio Add-on
Ignore the instructions above. You will use a separate program Nexus Native instead of Tampermonkey.
Use a Computer/Laptop (Windows or MacOS)
- Ensure you have the latest version of Google Chrome installed.
- Download and install Nexus Native:
- Click on the program, you should see a pop-up window. Insert your key and click launch browser.
- Log into your Edgenuity account, you should see the Nexus menu.
- Before starting a Proctorio enabled quiz, follow the instructions to install Proctorio extension and pass the pre-checks.
- Sometimes you need manually click on "I accept, start exam" button. Nexus menu will reappear in a few seconds after it redirects.
Proctorio Add-on Troubleshooting
- VCRUNTIME140 missing: Download and install https://aka.ms/vc14/vc_redist.x64.exe
- Launch Browser not working: Install the latest version of Google Chrome
- Config corrupt: Logout and login will reset the config
- This application is not supported on this Mac: Use the intel version (x86_64)
General Troubleshooting
- The menu is not showing up.
- If on computer, make sure that Developer Mode is enabled in your browser's extensions page.
- Try restarting your browser and/or device.
